Muster Bids

Frequently asked questions

Is Muster Bids part of the government or SAM.gov?

No. Muster Bids is a private company and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. government, VA, DoD, or SAM.gov. We republish public opportunity data and link every notice to its official SAM.gov page.

Do I have to pay to register in SAM.gov?

No. SAM.gov registration is always free at SAM.gov. We do not sell SAM registration. Free help is also available from APEX Accelerators.

What is an SDVOSB or VOSB set-aside?

A set-aside limits competition to a type of small business. SDVOSB set-asides are for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses; VOSB set-asides (used by the VA) are for veteran-owned small businesses. Firms generally need SBA veteran small business certification (VetCert) to qualify. Check the solicitation for the exact rules.

Where does the data come from, and how fresh is it?

From the public SAM.gov Contract Opportunities extract, refreshed daily. We keep notices with a veteran set-aside and a response deadline in the future. Always confirm details, amendments and attachments on the official notice.

How are the flags (site visit, bonding, wage rates, job size) decided?

Automatically, from words in the notice text, such as 'site visit', 'bid bond', 'Davis-Bacon', or a stated magnitude. Each flag shows the sentence it came from. No flag doesn't mean no requirement; read the full solicitation.

Do you submit bids for me?

No. We prepare the package. You set the final price, sign the certifications, and submit it yourself. We never log in to SAM.gov or any portal as you.

Do you take a percentage of the contract?

No. Fees are flat and quoted up front. We never charge a percentage of an award or a success fee.

Can you guarantee I'll win?

No, and nobody honestly can. We help you submit complete, compliant, on-time bids, which is the part you control.

Which jobs do you focus on?

VA and DoD construction and facility-services work (NAICS 23, 5617 and related service codes) set aside for veteran-owned firms. Each listing shows the stated dollar range when the notice gives one.
